Yesterday I attended a Q&A for Arnie & Eric Roth, who conduct Final Fantasy music concerts. That was fun!

This post prompted me to check if RPG Limit Break is still happening this year. It is! though it's been postponed until October. I'm glad it's still happening though. I really enjoy watching it, and the cause is near and dear to my heart.

Online LARPing rolls on! The group I co-run just hosted a panel on writing, which was well attended, so we'll probably go ahead with our plan to make it a series. Another group is having a games day Saturday, and a small summer convention is going forward as an online event.

Other than that, the opportunities to do or spectate cool things online are too numerous to contemplate. I'll be hanging out under my rock. :)

I've got an online D&D game in 20 minutes! I, er, think. A sudden reply-all email suggests that one of the players has been horribly offended by something I didn't see earlier, so WHO EVEN KNOWS? The GM is making apologetic noises.

Fingers crossed that you get to game, even if someone else has been horribly offended.

I hope so. (The offended person is extremely laid back normally. Either the stress of lockdown is biting or something really bad was said. Alas in either case).

Nothing planned currently, but there have been quite a few interviews/events with some of my favorite Broadway actors that I've tuned into recently. A highlight so far was learning that one of them once had to dress up in a very terrible bat costume and dance to "Thriller" for one of his earlier shows... still holding out for pictures on that one, but I will be laughing at the mental image for many months to come.

Hopefully people will continue scheduling them. They're only charity events, so no one is getting paid for their time per-say, but uh...I have a feeling the childless actors at least have recently found a lot of free time on their hands...

Casapinka, a knitting pattern designer, has been doing zoom talks to help promote local yarn shops. She has one this weekend that I'm thinking about attending.

Oh, that sounds like fun. Enjoy. I am always jealous of people who can use most of the fibers in your average yarn shop; a wool sensitivity keeps me confined to a small subsection.

I'm playing with the idea of WisCon, and seriously planning on going to NZ WorldCon. Other than that, there are many many things, none of which I have the attention span for.

That's rough. Some indie dyers are releasing cotton yarns now for the summer. What do you like to knit, and to knit with?

I knit with all sorts of stuff -- I did a ribbon yarn scarf for Christmas, I'm doing acrylic socks at the moment, and I've done a lot in cotton. I'm really enjoying the socks.
