What can you do to make the world a little better?

Today is as good a day as any to think about what you can do that reaches beyond your immediate surroundings to improve the universe for someone else. What is within your grasp?

The main thing I am able to do right now is to give away things - food, books, possessions - that I don't need or want to people on Buy Nothing who do want them.

Sometimes people are using Buy Nothing because they have a low income/are unemployed;

Sometimes people are using Buy Nothing because they want to avoid the shops because of COVID - I leave the items in a plastic box on my front porch, so there's no face to face contact whatsoever;

Sometimes people are using Buy Nothing because they want to be gentler on the planet by reusing rather than buying brand new.

That is an excellent thing to be able to do. It sounds like an excellent form of passing on the things other people can use.

The volunteer placement I had is ended and I'm looking for other places to donate my time.

I may be giving myself too much credit, but I think I'm good for J and E, and being good for children matters to the world.

I'm sure you are good for them. Touching the future counts for sure.

- anyone with pro-Disability-rights content on their facebook;
- anyone whose facebook mentions that they are an artist;
- anyone with pro-union content on their facebook...
