I've got in a state where I don't want to do any work, including to make things I want happen, or work I'm inherently interested in. And I've managed to get a lot of things on my schedule, some of which require work and all of which contribute to the feeling that I have no time to get things done. And then there's the stuff I would actually just as soon not spend time on but needs to be done, like house cleaning.
Would be nice. If the weather would cool down (which it's theoretically supposed to next weekend at least briefly) that would help a little. Leaving my job will probably also help, but at the moment, trying to get stuff done before I leave is definitely not helping. :)
Yep. For some stupid reason, Michigan's Department of Health and Human Services decided to do Food Stamps and Medical recertification SEPARATELY this year, so anyone on both programs has to gather all the information TWICE. Talk about the government being a giant P.I.T.A.!
Call insurance. Get a filling over this one tooth that's chipped or cracked. Thankfully, they found it when I went in to get my teeth cleaned last week.
Apartment management-mandated weekly inspections. They decided because of something I said the last time they came (on the wrong week) for my biweekly inspection that because I was "only cleaning just before we come," I deserved to be targeted for more frequent inspections. This, just after I received a sparkling review at the previous inspection after only getting bad reviews containing the word "garbage" in all the preceding ones. (BTW, it's not because I literally have garbage everywhere. It's because a cleaning lady the state sent filled a large Hefty bag with papers for me to sort through before I could stop her. (I'm one of those "I know where things are in my mess; please don't organize it or I won't be able to find anything" people. Comes with having Asperger's. Also, I have a bag of pop bottles I need to take to the store, and the manager and assistant manager are of the opinion that pop bottles with closed screw tops are going to attract bugs.)
So...yeah. Those inspections are on Thursdays and pretty much mess up any opportunity for me to do anything else on Thursdays because I never know when they're going to show up until they do. (Sometimes they don't even come until they're about to leave, and they always stay until 7-8:00 p.m. so they can get some work done after office hours. We're a Housing and Urban Development [HUD] subsidized apartment building, which means endless mounds of paperwork for residents and management alike.)
Having a random drop-by inspection every Thursday sounds nervewracking as all get out. I'm sorry your building is repeatedly putting you through that due to a couple of not-particularly-serious incidents of Having Stuff In Bags.
