Cyteen! A lot less of a slog than I'd feared, and interesting to realize that I'd remembered the ending very much wrong.

Once it gets started it goes very nicely. Interesting that you recalled it ending differently than it does!

I mean, I think mostly what I recalled about the ending was "something something Denys Nye??????" and my brain filled in the somethings with a bunch of other random Denys Nye bits.

Also I thought he was Dennis Nye this whole go through, because audio, and apparently the spelling of his name or his brother's name were NOT things I remembered from the first time around.

Hah. There is plenty of weird Denys Nye to be going on with, that's for sure. I can't blame your brain for auto-spelling his name in the more traditional American spelling, either.
