Date: 2020-08-06 02:14 pm (UTC)Here in Melbourne we're three weeks into our second lockdown, and our restrictions have been upgraded. I however have been somewhat housebound for a fair few years thanks to health issues, so I'd like to say I'm a veteran at this point.
Self-soothing: I tried taking up oil-painting, but I'm still at the early frustration stage of learning, so until I improve there's Minecraft and sudoku.
I hope: People to talk to, a way to mark time, the joy of listening to other's discuss their hobbies and the small details of their lives
I can offer: Ruthless optimism, suggestions from my giant pile of coping strategies, spontaneous haikus, cat pictures, maybe recipes, photos of flowers from my daily walks.

Date: 2020-08-06 10:05 pm (UTC)I'm glad you're facing the lockdown with some sense of having been there before. It all sounds scary from outside.
Minecraft and sudoku are good self-soothing activities, to be sure.
I hope you find the things you're looking for here.
