Good: playing a lot of games with people on the internet--Cards Against Humanity, Codenames, D&D. Having a directed form of socialization is better for me than "Let's just hang out on Zoom."
Not so good: my SO is sick so I have to beg off a volunteering opportunity I was looking forward to.
I'm currently online with friends doing a virtual egg hunt! (Mostly it involves puzzle solving. Hopefully once we all stop solving puzzles there will be more chatting. :) )
Good: My adult daughter has been in quarantine for 2 weeks, but tomorrow she gets to come home & will be with us for the duration, however long this lasts.
Less Good: Can’t seem to get flour anywhere. I always bake my own whole wheat bread and cook pretty much all meals at home even when not self isolating, but I did not buy too much extra, and we will run out soon. Same for a few other special-diet items. I didn’t want to be a hoarder, but I worry about food supply chain as I have tried online many times and several local stores.
Bad: I can’t visit my mom. She is 800 miles away and also very vulnerable. (But less bad: She lives with my sister and two of my adult nephews and they have my grandnephew there for the duration because his mom has to work, and I know that will make my mom happy. They are still okay for now. Also, both my nephews are still able to work—alone—so they are not too vulnerable and hopefully are helping keep themselves and my mom and sister safe.)
If you're willing to do mail order and you're in the US, nuts.com has a lot of different kinds of flours, including ordinary wheat flour, pretty inexpensively with quick shipping.
This four day weekend has been more valuable that I had expected. I woke up by 8am this morning mostly refreshed (the previously three days have been after noon, 11ish, 9:30ish). I'm not looking forward to having to work tomorrow though.
My sleep pattern, always dodgy ( I have circadian rhythm disorder and am a night owl) is worse. I guess I'll just let it slide until it comes around back to almost normal for a while. But as I'm not going out and being tempted by high-carb snacks, my eating is healthier, so that's good. I'd like to have more of a schedule and be able to do more to organise my house but my knee's still a bit too sore. But it's slowly improving.
I'm glad some things are better, like the lack of tempting snacks. I hope your knee heals faster than you expect it to so you can get more of the things you mean to get done, done. Having an inherently wacky sleep schedule can't help with that.
