I have turned one heel of the pair of socks I'm knitting in tandem. I'm at day 178 of a Duolingo streak. I've reread three out of four trunk novels in a series and need to get started on four, or I need to go back to #1 and start editing seriously.
It's much easier to see my progress when I write it down like this than it is from my vantage point in the middle of everyday life.
Thank you. I can't help feeling it would be considerably more impressive were I also working. Or keeping the house tidy. Or any number of things I get on myself for not doing.
pretty much no progress on any of the things I had in mind to do in all this 'extra' time
I've a cross-stitch project ready to start, but haven't unearthed the bag and actually started yet - and all of the household-related things have also been ignored. procrastination is my superpower, but this is bad, even for me
it's the TARDIS, surrounded by autumn foliage/pumpkins. it's supposed to be a birthday present for a friend whose birthday is on Halloween (if I get it done in time - if not, she'll get it for Xmas).
if she likes it, there are patterns for the other seasons and I might do them as well
Being in quarantine isn't something I like, but the only good thing about it is having time for me and to work on the changes I need to better myself and my life. I'll be happy when it's over but at the same time as someone who hardly had time for herself in the past, it's the perfect opportunity to do just that. Making changes has been a goal of mine for awhile, this is almost the perfect time for it.
Thank you ! Having more time certainly is making things easier, being able to dedicate time to what I personally need to put first in my life is helping more than I thought before everything started. I have time to catch up on my writing, so that's a plus as well.
I have finished one book that has long been in my to-read pile! To-read pile remains massive but still, one finished! And it was very enjoyable. "Die Känguru-Chroniken" by Marc-Uwe Kling, a German comedy novel about a small artist living with a communist cangaroo. It was hilarious. It has been made into a film, which would now be in cinema except of course, those are closed. I hope when they reopen, I can watch the film. There is also a book sequel but I am on a book no-buy until I have finished my massive to-read pile. :D
