It's a Chinese drama about the trials of two wizards who are soulmates. Canonical soulmates. This does not make their path through life and reincarnation easy.

The good bits tour avoids a lot of internal clan politics and a bunch of whump, neither of which are to my taste or that of my tour guide.

It has exquisite costuming and special effects on the order of Xena, and is generally very sure of its own importance when it comes to delivering massive amounts of exposition. If you're interested, I can try to find you a watch guide -- the first episode starts the story in a pretty bonkers place and I was thoroughly unconvinced by it when I tried it without a guide who could tell me what the actual heck was going on.

I'd be more inclined to just jump in and take my chances, honestly. :) Of course the big question is, where can one find it?
