Dinner was moussaka and baklava, the latter because The Old Guard made me crave it. One does not mess around making baklava.

Sushi, fresh pasta, and Bolognese (from different restaurants). My favorite sushi place opened for takeout, so I got dinner from there over the weekend. And the bolognese sauce was from an Italian restaurant I used to go to for special occasions, and it was an excellent, quick dinner w some pasta from a fresh pasta shop.

Sounds delightful! Sushi -- or well, sashimi -- is not something I would want to try making at home, much though I enjoy it.

It's funny you mention that - the +1 has made sushi at home a couple times, which turned out well. He made the fish according to a Serious Eats poke recipe. The hardest part has actually been getting the sushi rice to turn out right - it keeps turning out too sweet or too sour. (The Serious Eats recipe just calls for regular steamed rice, but we were trying to make seasoned sushi rice for rolls.)
