I see a few coworkers when in the office two part-days a week, I talk with friends/family on the phone or by text, and I e-mail/comment on journals. I've also been sending notes via snail mail to folks

I'm glad you get to see some coworkers when you're in the office. That adds a reason to be there, I'd imagine.

their offices are all upstairs, so coworker time is mostly in passing - but it's nice to chat for a minute with an actual person who's not in a drive-thru window
